Technical Overview

The Pace 500.3 Step-Through comes out of the box as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle going up to 20 MPH. It can be unlocked to a Class III ebike and can go up to 28 MPH on pedal assist. The Pace 500.3 Step-Through will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain or submerged or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike. *Using PAS Eco throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.

Aventon Pace 500.3

I just got my bike and am loving it. I have tried a few other electric bikes and this one feels agile and intuitive when it goes into "assist" mode. It helps smoothly without a jolt of force which makes it feel like riding a regular bike with an easy pedal. I wish I had a bit more power for going up hills, maybe should have got a 750 Watt motor. I had a bike mechanic assemble it, so I know it was put together correctly but the right brake squeals. I am not sure how to fix that at the moment. But overall, it is a beautiful bike with lots of great features for the price.

Great but SQUEEKY!

Terrific bike. Easy to assemble, joy to ride and appears to be great quality. If only I can get the rear brake to stop squealing insanely loud. Have tried all Aventon suggestions to date 3 times and no luck! Hate working on new products but bike appears to be worth the trouble so PLEASE Aventon, solve my issue. Maybe replace with known good brakes or ceramic pads or something. My wife loves it so much she's bugging me to order another but not until problem is solved! Rant finished.
